A Kickstart to Fat-Burning and Abs with Thermogenics

I usually try to limit my posts to food and not too much about supplements but with so many questions about them lately and people asking for “motivation” to get them to the gym, I figured I would share my personal favorite…
For those of you needing a little extra push at the gym, I have finally discovered the perfect fat-shredder! I used to be a diet pill fanatic and can honestly say that I have tried just about everything out there and I have finally found the ULTIMATE fat loss pill called DNPX from ProSupps. Unlike most diet pills/thermogenics out there that entail you to consume multiple pills throughout the day, DNPX is one pill a day! I must warn you though…this thermogenic is no joke! (I took it at night and had trouble sleeping so I highly recommend taking it in the morning with breakfast!) DNPX gives you TONS of energy, enhances your mood and suppresses your appetite like no other.
Let’s start by going over what a thermogenic is….
Thermogenics are used to raised body temperature and in turn raise the number of calories burned. They have been proven effective but I highly recommend only using them for about six weeks and then taking some time off. After about eight weeks of continual use, you establish a tolerance and stop seeing results and weight loss hinders. That being said….two months on fat-burner is more than enough!

The ingredients in DNPX are top notch and I have yet to find someone dissatisfied when I recommend it SO I’m throwing this out there to all of my SinOrSlim fans as well! So how does it work and makes it so unique??
DNPX raises metabolic function through the use of stimulants such as PEA and caffeine anhydrous as it speeds up the body’s consumption of calories. The higher functioning elements of the body need fuel, so they turn to stored fat for energy. The key ingredient in DNPX is alpha-yohimbe which breaks up fat storage in stubborn areas (ladies this means your hips and men this means your mid-section!) there are receptors in your stomach and chest called Alpha-2 andrenoreceptors that inhibit lipolysis (the breakdown of fat cells). Alpha-yohimbe works by inactivating these receptors, which targets subcutaneous fat, fat on the outside of your abs that is the hardest to lose, and visceral fat loss, the fat underneath your abs. Yes….it is possible for your abs to show…..we just need to get rid of that fat!

P.S. If you’re doing fasted cardio in the morning….wait until after your workout to take it with breakfast. (You may feel nauseous or faint without taking DNPX with food and I don’t need any of my fans passing out on me!)

I’m placing a link to purchase it from amazon BUT if you have a Facebook, you can go to www.facebook.com/prosupps and like their page. When they hit 1500 likes they will be giving away free products so it may be the perfect chance for you get this for FREE! =)

Low Carb Eggnog Protein Shake Recipe

Hey guys! So I know its been quite a while since I’ve posted for reasons you can read about in the last post BUT this was the protein portion of my breakfast that works great for low carb. This is my version of a sugar-free low carb eggnog shake. Don’t wait for the season….now you can enjoy those holiday cravings guilt-free! I would recommend making it with unsweetened almond milk instead of water but since I’m currently trying to stay away from dairy, so I just made mine with water. By the way before anyone asks about the raw egg and salmonella…the chances of getting salmonella from consuming a raw egg are 1:30,000!
This recipe uses hydrolyzed whey (Iso-100 happens to be my favorite) because it digests quicker than other whey products. Hydrolyzed whey IS more expensive so if money is an issue a regular whey will suffice (I used to use the vanilla whey from Elite…I’ll put both links at the bottom)!
Dont forget to like us on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/SinOrSlim
and follow on instagram: hey_its_ainsley
Ingredients:
1 Scoop Vanilla Whey Protein
1 Whole Egg
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
1 Packet of Stevia
1 Cup of Water (or Unsweetened Almond Milk)
Ice

Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in a blender
2. Add ice to preference

3. Blend and garnish with an extra dash of cinnamon to taste

SinOrSlim Status Update!

Hey guys!! Ainsley here…I know everyone is probably wondering why on earth the site has not been updated in months!Well here’s my explanation…sinorslim was created by me with the intention of focusing on low carb dieting for the purpose of cutting and weight loss. Going to the gym twice a day (fasted cardio in the morning and weight training at night) in conjunction with the keto diet, pushed my body into a catabolic state (muscle eating) and I dropped to 100lbs…I’m 5’4 btw!
I have currently been trying to fill in my muscles (bulking I guess you could call it…but it’s such an ugly word)! So because I am currently trying to gain muscle mass I have turned to “clean eating” for the next few months before beginning the cutting cycle again.
My current diet consists of about 5oz of protein and 6oz of carbs every 2.5 hrs giving me about 7-8 meals a day along with weight training 6x a week and NO CARDIO Since this is pretty much the opposite of keto I have failed to post any new recipes.
I do not have my personal Facebook page active at the moment but for those of you interested in following me on Instagram I just created one last week. My username is hey_its_ainsley I will begin posting “clean” recipes there as I go as well as nutrition and supplement tips for you! (This is great for anyone interested in competing!)I am also very excited to say that I have joined the ProSupps team…a supplement company with absolutely incredible products! In my opinion, they have the best pre-workout called Hyde and diet thermogenic called DNPX I have ever tried! Both are extremely potent!! If you are interested in trying either of them please contact me and I will see about mailing you samples!
As an apology for my lack of communication I am going to give you all my personal email where you can feel free to ask me any questions!! PLEASE no spam!! I do get constant emails so give me at least a day to reply!! Arodr217@fiu.edu
Good luck and happy dieting!!!
Ainsley

Low Carb Garlic Bread

Now you can finally reach into the bread basket without feeling guilty! Garlic bread is one of those incredible sides that goes great with just about anything! This recipe is a low carb alternative to your traditional starchy bread and uses tofu instead of flour as the base. This goes great with my low carb deep dish pizza recipe! Serve as a starter, side, or enjoy as a snack at any time!
Ingredients: (Makes 16 servings)
1 Package Lite Firm Tofu
6Tbsp Egg Whites (the whites of 2 eggs)
2 Tbsp Flaxseed Meal
1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese (I used a 3 cheese Blend)
2 tsp Minced Garlic
2 Tbsp Olive Oil
Rosemary, Oregano and Garlic Powder to taste

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
2. Drain tofu, break into pieces and place in food processor
3. Add egg whites, flaxmeal, rosemary, garlic powder and oregano to the processor

4. Blend until a creamy consistency is reached

5. Spread the mixture onto a greased aluminum foil lined sheet and place in the oven for 15 minutes

6. Remove from oven and drizzle olive oil, minced garlic and cheese over the top

7. Place the bread back in the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes or until desired crispiness is reached.

8. Let cool, cut into 16 pieces and enjoy!

Prosciutto Wrapped Parmesan, Spinach and Almond Chicken

Ingredients: (One Serving)
6 oz Chicken Breast
1 oz Sliced Prosciutto
Handful of Spinach
2 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese (I used a three cheese blend with parmesan, asiago and romano)
7 g Sliced Almonds
1 Clove of Minced Garlic
Salt, Pepper, and Oregano to taste

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
2. Crumble and toast almonds on a skillet over medium heat (you will know they are done when they start to give off an aroma)

3. Sautee spinach until it begins to wilt
4. Combine toasted almonds, wilted spinach, parmesan and garlic in a small bowl and mix together

5. Slice the chicken breast down the middle (but not all the way through) to create a pouch for where your stuffing will go
6. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper

7. Stuff the chicken breast with the almond, spinach and cheese mixture

8. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and lay the prosciutto slices so that they are slightly overlapping and sprinkle oregano on top of the prosciutto slices

10. Place the chicken in the oven and bake for 18-20 minutes
11. Serve on a plate and enjoy!!! I made mine with a side of mashed cauliflower and it was delicious!…

Low Carb Antioxidant Berry Smoothie

Fruit is SO delicious and healthy for you but yet SO high in sugar! I remember leaving fruit behind was one of the most difficult things to do when I went low carb. Iv’e missed those incredible, fruity and delicious cold smoothies so much!!!….until now! This recipe not only tastes JUST like a berry smoothie, it is also packed with all of the antioxidant protection you would get from fruit naturally thanks to the Miracle Reds Powder! So now you can not only savor the taste of fruit without the sugar or carbs, you can also get the nutritional benefits from it too! I would have to compare the taste of this smoothie with the Angel Food from Smoothie King…but even better! If you think this sounds too good to be true and are thinking this recipe is packed with aspartame or dozens of other chemicals…think again! The key to the perfect taste of this smoothie comes from the propel berry flavored ready-to-drink powder! Unlike Crystal light or other various “low calorie” drink mixes, propel zero is naturally enhanced with vitamins C, E, B and antioxidants and DOES NOT CONTAIN ASPARTAME!
Ingredients:
1 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
1 Scoop Miracle Reds (Link to purchase can be found at the bottom of the post)
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract (no high fructose corn syrup!)
2 tsp Benefiber
1 Packet Propel Zero Berry Flavor

Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a blender
2. Blend and add ice little by little until desired thickness is reached

3. Pour in a cup and enjoy the taste of heaven!

Surf and Turf Low Carb Sandwich

This is a shrimp, steak and avocado low carb sandwich recipe that is SO simple yet so delicious! The flavors go so well together that there is no need for any additional toppings or sauces! Not only is this low carb sandwich ideal for anyone on a low carb and high fat keto diet, but it is also a great grain-free Paleo sandwich recipe as well! This sandwich uses the steak as the “bread” and a mix of shrimp and avocado in the center. I used a sirloin steak because I like the thicker cuts but 2 thin steaks should work just as great! If you’re falling short of your fat intake when you make this you can also add a Tbsp of olive oil to the shrimp and avocado mixture to help meet your macros!
Ingredients:
4 Oz Top Sirloin Steak
4 Oz Shrimp (Peeled and Thawed)
1/4 Hass Avocado
Salt and Pepper to Taste

Directions:
1. Season and cook steak to your preference (I usually just season with a little salt and pepper and cook my steak medium rare)
2. Slice the steak thickness in half (this will give you the top and bottom “buns” for your sandwich)

3. Cut the shrimp into bite size pieces and cook on a skillet until they are no longer opaque
4. Cut the avocado into bite size pieces and mix with the cooked shrimp

5. Put half of the avocado/shrimp mixture on top of one of the halves of steak

6. Cover with the remaining half of the steak

7. Top the sandwich with the left over shrimp and avocado mixture and enjoy!

MACRO NUTRIENT BREAKDOWN:
Each sandwich yields approximately 330 calories with 13.5g of fat, 45g of protein and only 4g of carbs!!

Bacon and Bison Low Carb Pizza

FINALLY a way to enjoy one of the most popular fattening dishes of all….pizza! This low carb deep dish pizza is as close to the real thing as it gets! With the only carbs coming from the marinara sauce, this is the ultimate keto meal that is ideal for anyone on a low carb diet! Iv’e tried various forms of low carb pizza recipes from using cauliflower for the pizza crust to tofu for the pizza crust and this is the best deep dish low carb pizza recipe yet! (I will be making a thin crust pizza using cauliflower soon enough so stay tuned!) This crust is made with cheese, cream cheese and eggs and no it does not taste the least bit eggy! You can feel free to choose your toppings of choice but the bison and bacon combination I used was a hit!
Ingredients:
4 Tbsp Cream Cheese
3 Eggs
1/4 Cup Heavy Cream
1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese (I used a parmesan and romano blend)
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1 Cup Mexican Cheese Blend
1/2 Cup Marinara Sauce
1 Cup Mozzarella cheese
4oz Ground Buffalo
4 Strips of Bacon

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. Beat together cream cheese and eggs in a bowl
3. Add cream, parmesan cheese, and spices and mix again.

4. Spray a circular pan with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkle the Mexican cheese into the dish

5. Pour the egg mixture over the cheese

6. Bake for 15 minutes and let stand for 5 minutes (while the pizza is in the oven, cook and crumble the buffalo and bacon)

7. Spread on pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese buffalo and bacon

8. Place the pizza back in the oven and bake until its bubbly and browning (about 15 minutes)
9. LET COOL for at least 10 minutes before cutting. Patience is a virtue! If you cut it while its still too hot youll have a mushy and messy pizza!

Macro Nutrient Breakdown:
The macro nutrient breakdown below is for the entire dish which made 4 large pizza slices. Each slice of low carb pizza therefore has 405 calories, 32g of fat, 29g of protein and only 4 carbs!!

Low Carb Cinnamon Roll Recipe

Here’s a recipe for a low carb and high protein keto friendly cinnamon roll with icing and all! This treat is incredible and requires only 5 minutes of your time and 5 ingredients! I use egg whites in my recipe because I find that using a whole egg makes it taste a little “eggy” but whole eggs will work as well! Once again I have used my Nitro-pro Cookies and Cream protein powder. It taste so good that the icing doesn’t even need PureVia but I stuck it in there anyway for all of you with a giant sweet tooth!
Ingredients:
3 Egg Whites
1 Tbsp Cinnamon
1 Scoop Nitropro Cookies and Cream Protein
1 Packet PureVia

Directions:
1. In a small bowl, mix together egg whites and cinnamon

2. Spray a skillet with non-stick cooking spray and cook the egg white/cinnamon batter over medium heat until it begins to bubble

3. Flip like a pancake, cook the other side for just a few seconds and set on a plate to cool (I cut the rounded edges off of mine so it would look more like a cinnamon roll later)

4. In another small bowl, mix together protein powder and PureVia and add water LITTLE BY LITTLE until a smooth paste is formed. (Add the water slowly because too much water will make the icing watery. If you add too much water, you can always add some more protein powder to thicken it up a bit)

5. Spread half of the icing on top of the “pancake” and roll inwards (the icing should act as an adhesive to make it stick together)

6. Cut in half, distribute the rest of the icing over the top of the cinnamon rolls, and enjoy!!
