ORIGINAL RECIPES + PRACTICAL TOOLS

Change the Recipe, Not Your Life

SinOrSlim combines original recipes with practical cooking tools designed to help recipes fit the way you actually cook.

Scale servings, switch between US and Metric measurements, adapt recipes for vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free or gluten-free needs where a straightforward change makes sense, resize pans, convert measurements, find substitutions, adapt oven instructions for an air fryer, build shopping lists and calculate costs.

WHY SINORSLIM?

Recipes Designed to Be Flexible

SinOrSlim pairs concise original recipes with tools that solve practical cooking problems instead of burying the answer in long articles.

On a recipe page you can switch between US and Metric measurements, scale servings, use Cook Mode and timers, send ingredients to a shopping list, and see recipe-specific dietary alternatives when a straightforward adaptation makes sense.

The wider tool library handles jobs such as pan resizing, measurement conversion, substitutions, air-fryer starting conversions and recipe costing. The aim is the same throughout: solve the problem clearly and get you back to cooking.

The Basic Principles

  • Free to use
  • No account required
  • Original recipes with practical built-in controls
  • Designed for ordinary home cooking
  • Clear about approximations
  • Useful in US, UK and Metric kitchens
  • Dietary adaptations are practical options, not diet advice
  • Practical ingredient substitution guidance
  • Practical oven-to-air-fryer starting conversions
  • Use your own ingredient prices
  • Calculations run in your browser

WHAT SINORSLIM IS NOT

A Recipe and Cooking-Tools Site, Not Diet Advice

Despite the name, the current SinOrSlim is not a weight-loss program, nutrition service or health-advice website.

The recipes and tools can help you scale, convert and adapt what you cook, including vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free alternatives where a practical change is available. They do not tell you what you should eat, whether a particular food is healthy, or what diet you should follow.

Flexible Means Your Choice

Make the recipe bigger or smaller. Use Metric or US measurements. Where a straightforward adaptation is suitable, see recipe-specific vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free or gluten-free alternatives. Bake it in the pan you already own. Adapt oven instructions for your air fryer. Find an alternative for a missing ingredient. See what your ingredients cost. SinOrSlim provides practical calculations and options; what you cook is entirely up to you.

How the Calculations Work

Some SinOrSlim calculations are exact mathematical conversions. Others, particularly ingredient volume-to-weight conversions, ingredient substitutions and oven-to-air-fryer conversions, require practical assumptions and are therefore approximate.

Substitution quantities use practical ratios, dietary adaptations use recipe-specific ingredient changes where a straightforward alternative is available, air fryer results use practical starting adjustments to temperature and cooking time, and recipe costs are calculated from the package prices and quantities you provide. We explain how the tools work rather than hiding the assumptions.
